Contact us on the Winscombe surgery number 01934 842 211 or book online at askmyGP. All available appointments are accessible by online access, in person or by telephone.
You can make an appointment with the doctor or nurse by phoning the surgery AFTER 8.00am or by submitting an askmyGP request.
You have a right to express a preference of practitioner and we will do our best to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice. Should your preferred doctor not have a free appointment you will be offered an appointment with one of the other GPs in the practice.
You will never be refused to see a doctor if one is available. If you no longer need your appointment, please let us know.
Please remember that appointments are for ONE person only. If you feel your consultation may be lengthy, ask the receptionist for a DOUBLE APPOINTMENT when you book.
We have a weekly private Podiatry service that works from the surgery to provide a local service for our patients (Wednesday at Winscombe).
Chiropody and Podiatry – NHS and Private.
We have physiotherapists available at the practice. Please contact our reception team or submit an askmyGP request to book an appointment.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 11.00 if you require a home visit.
If you are housebound or are too ill to visit the Practice you can request a home visit. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
You can be visited at home by a Community Nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a Health Visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
Please only request visits if absolutely necessary as the doctor can see an average of four patients in surgery in the same time taken to do one home visit.
Visits are normally undertaken at any time between 1.00 and 3.30pm. You should therefore not expect the doctor to arrive immediately following the end of morning surgery.
Home visits are not available to assist with problems of transport or social issues beyond our control.
